Audio Research Corporation
Input: USB 2.0 HS, S/PDIF (RCA, BNC, AES/EBU & Toslink)
Resolution: 24/192
Outputs: RCA & Balanced
Features:
Audio Research has maximized the USB capability of the DAC8 by incorporating USB 2.0 HS (High Speed) which runs at 480Mbps. USB 2.0 HS has a lower jitter specification than USB 2.0 FS (Full Speed 12mbps), consequently the DAC8 is capable of reproducing music at higher definition/resolution (up to 24/192) than products communicating at USB 2.0 FS speeds (24/96).
In addition, the DAC8 employs a low jitter Dual Master Oscillator design that will provide superior digital to analog conversion via its USB 2.0 HS input as well as via the more traditional S/PDIF (RCA, BNC, Toslink and AES/EBU) inputs that are also included on the DAC8. Our USB 2.0 HS audio interface is optimized for all six sample- rates currently in popular use; 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192kHz.

UnitiServe is a compact, slot-loading, CD ripping, hard disk music player and server based on the technology of the multi-award-winning Naim HDX. It takes the fundamentals of the HDX; a massive internal hard disk drive, Naim bit-perfect ripping, Ethernet connection, UPnPTM server, StreamNet technology and local digital outputs, and combines them with a set of features perfectly suited to music in the home of today, and tomorrow.
A variant of the UnitiServe - the UnitiServe-SSD has no internal hard-disk storage and is intended for use in network systems where ripped data is stored exclusively on NAS drives.
UnitiQute is capable of handling an enormous range of digital audio formats, and Naim digital audio engineering ensures that each one sounds as musical and engaging as its inherent potential allows. UnitiQute digital connectivity also means that as well as offering all-in-one functionality operating as a digital hub for external digital sources, games consoles or digital TV audio for example, it can also output its internal sources or external digital signals to an external DAC for even higher audio quality.
Analogue audio connectivity is not forgotten either. Two analogue inputs can accommodate CD players or portable music players via rear panel phono sockets and a front-panel mini-jack. And a preamplifier output means that with the addition of an external power amplifier, or even a sub-woofer, UnitiQute can become the heart of a very wide bandwidth audio system.
